Christmas Day

Here's a pic of Madilyn with her loot. She must have been a good girl this year. Also a pic of the three of us at my dad's house Christmas Day.

Cheap Gift

I wish a simple empty box would make me happy. After all presents were opened little Miss Evan only wanted to play with an empty box. She climbed up on it and in it.

Christmas Eve

Every year we have the family over for Christmas Eve. Willie always cooks something delicious. This year it was his famous gumbo. After we filled our bellies we opened presents. Here are some cute pics of the kids. Madilyn got a sewing machine from her granny. Brooke got an easel from us. Evan got a little pink pony from us. Evan caught on to opening presents very quickly.

The Night Before Christmas....

and all through the kitchen the flour was flying as the children prepared for St. Nick's arriving. Ok - so I can't rhyme very well. The kids including the baby had so much fun making and decorating cookies for Santa. Evan even joined in and got to use her two teeth.

Santa Picture

Last weekend we took a trip to Bass Pro to have Madilyn and Evan's (granddaughter) pictures taken with Santa. Willie went with us (that is why we went to Bass Pro) to have the pictures taken. This gave him an opportunity to look around in BP instead of the mall.

Christmas Pics

I have heard great things about Portrait Innovations in Town Center so we decided to try it out for our Christmas pics. Below are a few of the good ones (with all three girls looking, babies not crying, etc). I definitely realized how grown up Madilyn is. She was the only one that didn't cry. My niece, Brooke is the two year old. My granddaughter, Evan, is the baby in the pictures.

Scrappin With The Chicks

Here are a few pics from last weekend Scrappin With The Chicks event.

Thank You

I just want to take a minute to tell all our service men and women THANK YOU. While I was at Scrapping with the Chicks over the weekend I had a chance to meet some really nice young men who serve our country. We all watched the LSU/Alabama game together in the hotel lounge. They were in town to go to the Marine Corp Ball. So yes we got to see them all dressed up. Even got a photo op with them. Aren't they just tooooo good looking! Too bad we were all married and so much older than they were.

The Boo Crew

We went to my sister-in-laws for trick or treating. My friend Vickii was there with her little girl (witch) Anna, and Deleana was there were her two boys Colton and Cayden (scarecrows). My niece Brooke was Minnie Mouse. Last but not least was my sweetheart Madilyn. She was a car hop! She even had an authentic car hop tray to collect her candy on. Oh, we also had Dr. McDreamy (robbie) there. I can't figure out how to rotate Madilyn's pic so you will just have to turn your head sideways!

A Day For Nothing

A day for nothing has turned into a very busy day. Up at 7:15 thanks to my precious daughter who doesn't know the meaning of sleeping late (9am atleast). Made breakfast, washed clothes, dusted, mopped, vacuumed and went through some scrapbooking stuff to sell at a garage sell me and my mom are planning. After all this I was ready for a nap but Madilyn had other plans. Off to the store to find white Keds for her Car Hop Halloween costume. Found keds. Went out to eat lunch. Rented two movies. Now sitting on the floor typing this blog trying to figure out how I can take me a NAP.

To Melanie

Mel - Don't read all my new posts at once. Read one a day every other day for a few days. That way it will make it seem like I update it more often. Love ya!

1st Overnight Visit

We had our first overnight visit with our granddaugher, Evan!

Ice Skating

Madilyn attended a birthday party at Leo's Iceland. She has only been ice skating two times before so she was a little scared. By the end of the party she was skating so good. Here are a couple of pics.

Rainbow

The other day on the way home from work I saw a beautiful rainbow in the sky. Since I always have my camera with me I decided to stop on the side of the road and take some pics.

Pumpkin Patch

We went on our Annual Trip to the Pumpkin Patch in Denham Springs. Madilyn had a fun time posing for me while sitting on top of some of the pumpkins. My niece Brooke, on the other hand, did not! Every time I asked her to take a picture she said "NO". When we got ready to leave she wanted to take some of the items for sale on the check out table to play with. We had to tell her NO and she did not like it. She proceeded to throw herself down on the concrete and pitch a fit. Me being the aunt and not the mother proceeded to laugh my butt off and take pictures.

Accident

Saturday around 12:30pm I was rear ended on Groom Road in Baker. Let me tell you I was pissed. It was just me and Madilyn in the car. We weren't hurt thank goodness. The man behind us was not paying attention. I was slowing down for some cars in front of me that were turning and all of a sudden BAM he hit me. There was not much damage to my back bumper but I will need to be replaced. There was more damage to his car. The kicker is he could not provide INSURANCE. Image that! I would like to put a plug in for ONSTAR. They rock! It was so nice to push one button and have the police notified. I will never drive another vehicle without it.
