Madilyn - PHONE!!!!!!!

Madilyn has been begging for a phone. I told her when pigs fly she could get one. Well I guess if you look up in the sky right about now you should see some pigs flying because she got a phone. I called the phone while she was opening presents. When she realized it where it was coming from she started jumping up and down. Willie and I were the best parents in the world when she opened that gift. We got her a purple Samsung Strive. She has already sent 200 texts over the weekend. Mostly to me (from across the house) and to Karen. Sorry Karen!!!!

Madilyn's 10th Birthday

Here are a couple of pics of Madilyn getting her Justin Bieber concert tickets for a present. She wanted a cookie cake with flip flops on it this year.

LSU SOFTBALL CAMP

Madilyn attended the LSU Softball Camp last week. Here are a couple of fun pics from a relay game they played on the last day.

Evan Sleepover

Ryan and Evan slept over at our house last weekend. Here are a couple of pics.

Pray for Me

We are having a sleep over for Madilyn's birthday tonight. Do you think they will want to go to bed at 8:30pm? That's my normal bed time and I'm already tired thinking about having a sleepover.

ALL MY MEN

Yesterday we had a great Father's Day. My dad, stepdad, father-in-law, brother-in-law, stepson (who I still can't believe is a daddy) and of course Willie all gathered at my house for a fish fry. I have the best husband in the world b/c he cooked on Father's Day. To have so many loving dads in the house was a blessing. I realized yesterday that I am truly blessed to be surrounded by such wonderful fathers. They all have so many special qualities that make up our family tree.

It's Not Everyday...

It's not everyday that you could pass by my house and catch a glimpse of me mowing the lawn. As of yesterday it would be about once in every 12 years. That's right I said 12 years! I mowed the lawn about 12 years ago (with a push mower) to prove to my husband that it could be done in one day without taking 20 beer breaks. Yesterday I mowed it (with a riding lawn mower) because I wanted to help him out with the yard work. **NOTE: NO BEER BREAKS. I guess I am growing up and learning to become a better wife. Damn, I scare myself sometimes. It wasn't that bad. If I went fast enough I even felt a little breeze. Although when he flagged me down a couple times I figured out that I wasn't suppose to be going that fast. Madilyn took the opportunity to photograph this memorable occasion. I would post them but I'm in my swimming suit - ENOUGH SAID. So mark it on your calendars 12 years from now on 6/6/22 I will be posting again that I mowed the lawn.

Memorial Weekend Fun

We spent the weekend at Lake Rosemound at my good friend, Karen's, camp. Thanks to her we had a wonderful relaxing weekend. Willie fished. Madilyn and Grace fished, swam, did a little tubing and painted each other's fingernails. Karen read and stitched. I SCRAPBOOKED of course. My eyes opened each morning at 6am and off to the living room I went to create either a layout for myself or a kit. We all watched the LSU baseball games (or what we could due to rain delays). All in all it was an awesome weekend. I could go for a three day weekend every weekend!
