TIGER FUN AND MORE!!!!!!!

Boy what a busy and FUN filled weekend we had. To start things off Friday night Madilyn watched a 14 inning LSU vs Alabama Softball game at Tiger park. After playing 7 extra innings Anissa Young hit a walk off homerun to win the game. Saturday morning we headed to Tiger Stadium to take a tour of it for the Mike's Kids Club Event. I have decided this is the best $10 I have spent in a long time. If you have kids interested in LSU sports sign them up. Get more info at www.lsusports.net. We got to see the locker room, holding room (where the players run out of for the game), walk on the field and learn all kinds of interesting facts about LSU football history. Later that evening we went back to LSU Tiger Park to watch Madilyn and Grace run out on the field for pre-game program with the softball girls. Madilyn and Grace got to run out with pitcher, Rachel Fico. As soon as the girls were back to the seats Willie and I headed to my friend, Heather's, CANCER FREE celebration at The Little Village. Madilyn and Grace got to watch another long 10 inning winning game with Anissa hitting yet another walk off homerun to win the game. While they were all at the game Willie and I enjoyed an evening with friends, food and fun. It was great to see the smile on Heather's face at the surprise party. Sunday once again we were back at Tiger Park to watch LSU sweep the weekend series against Alabama. Here are some pics of our very eventful weekend.

MIKE'S KIDS CLUB

This year we enrolled Madilyn in the Mikes Kids Club at LSU. Yesterday they had an event at Tiger Park. Madilyn brought Grace with her to enjoy the festivities. All of the kids got to tour the Softball Facilities, eat pizza, make spirit posters and go out on the field for pre-game announcements.

PINKALICIOUS

Sunday Feb 27th a group of us went to see PINKALICIOUS the Musical at the Manship Theatre downtown in the Shaw Building. Here are a few pics.

There was a cupcake decorating party before the musicial started. We all decorated pretty pink cupcakes and drank pink lemonade.

After the show the girls played in front of the Shaw Building in the fountains. I think they enjoyed this as much as the musical if not more.

                                      

FUN FILLED WEEKEND

The weekend started off Saturday at Tiger Park watching the LSU softball team play. It was a beautiful day to be outside. My cheeks even got a little red. Saturday evening we went to Vickii's house for a Valentine's Day Family Dinner with our girls plus Grace. The men grilled us filets that were delicious. It also was great not having to wait in a crowded restaurant.

Sunday - Madilyn, Grace and I went to Heather's house to pick up Morgan and Avery for the day. Before we left I had a couple of Valentine crafts for the girls to make Heather and Shane as a surprise.

 After craft time was over we headed to All Star Lanes to bring Avery to a birthday party. While we were waiting on Avery what better thing to do than get our own lane. I haven't bowled in YEARS so needless to say I am a little sore today. Morgan won both of the games we played. Gutter Bumpers were up for her so that's ALL I'M SAYIN!! Oh - I also have a Bowling scrapbook kit I bought 3 years ago that I will finally have pictures for.

 After bowling we headed to LSU to see Mike the Tiger. He was sunbathing and taking a nap.

After the game we went to Cold Stone Creamery on Burbank. I forgot to bring the camera in so no pics of the delicious ice cream we had.

After being in the house the last couple of weekends it was so nice to be outdoors on a gorgeous day.

 "A Meow Christmas" - We gave my mother-in-law a Furr Real cat for Christmas as a prank b/c she is very afraid of cats. Come to find out she is afraid of fake cats too.

Madilyn had her Jr. Beta ceremony yesterday at school. I'm so proud of my little girl. She is growing up way too fast though. Before I know I will be attending her graduation.
