3rd ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION

Well not only did my air go out at home (fixed now) but when I got to work this morning the air is out here. I work inside for a reason - air condition. Today is my half day so at least I leave at noon. I will be going to hang out at Scrapbook & co. I hope my bad luck does not follow me there.

First Day of 4th Grade

Madilyn was up and ready for her first day of 4th grade before I knew it. No complaining to get out of bed - how long will this last? She started her first day of 4th grade at Copper Mill in Zachary. This year she had to walk to the end of the street and catch the bus by the stop sign. I am totally against this. The four children that are picked up on our street live within two house of each other. I believe the bus could come down the street and pick up at one house rather having the children walk up the street 8 houses. Hell, I grew up on a dead end gravel road almost a mile long and I got door pickup! Here are some pics of her morning walk and getting on the bus.

Welcome Home

Even though we didn't want vacation to end we were looking forward to getting home and sleeping in our own beds. After 4.5 hours on the road we pulled in the carport, unloaded the car, unlocked the door and stepped into an oven. That's right an OVEN. Our air conditioner had decided it wanted to stop working. Many words were spoken that I will not blog about. Thank goodness for window units. We pulled one out from last years hurricane season and hooked it up in our bedroom. After a couple of hours we were back to the COOL life. Madilyn was excited to camp out in our room. This morning we headed out to my mom's house until the air condition man comes Monday. So much for a good WELCOME HOME surprise.

Last Day

The last day of vacation - It goes by too fast. No matter a long weekend or a week it's all the same on the last day - depressing! Back to reality and the real world. I'm still trying to figure out how I can rig the lottery to win!

The Life!

This is the life. Up at 7am, sitting on the balcony watching the waves roll in, drinking coffee and not a care in the world. I need to win the lottery so I can do this everyday.

Laziness....

I never knew being lazy could wear you out. We are at the beach and have done nothing all day but I am so tired. I know poor pitiful me! I'm so happy to have my new laptop so I can keep in touch with all my friends while I am away. The best thing was to wake up this morning and find this new awesome blog for Scrapbook and Company. Well I think I hear the bed calling my name for a cat nap.
